    JOB DESCRIPTION

    NATURE / SCOPE OF ROLE

    The position reports to the Wholesale Director ANZ and is responsible for:

  • The preparation and maintenance of the Customer Business Development Plan, which identifies strategies and philosophies which will result in business growth. The communication of these strategies and philosophies to the Retailer.
  • The implementation of practices and procedures that will increase the profitability of the Retailer and Levi's, specifically by;-
  • Maximising opportunities to generate sales and profit and
  • The simultaneous control of operating expenses.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES Include but are not limited to :

    STRATEGY AND POLICY DEVELOPMENT

  • The development and implementation of the Customer Development Business Plan.
  • The development and introduction of best practice account management and service standards and practices.
  • The development of short and long term plans that will maximise revenue minimise costs and increase profitability.
  • ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

  • The development and ongoing maintenance of Retailer relationships including the establishment and maintenance of effective communication processes.
  • Monitoring the financial and operating performance of the Product and Brand, taking corrective action to minimise risk to the Company and to the Levi's brand.
  • The development and implementation of the Retailer specific promotional and marketing opportunities.
  • REVENUE GENERATION

  • Regular review of the Retailer sales performance information, identifying areas for business opportunities and implementation of business improvement strategies.
  • Assessing present and future needs, trends and revenue and profit generating opportunities.
  • Co-ordinating and supporting the objectives and initiatives of support departments in their efforts to minimise costs and maximise circuit revenue and profitability.
  • Development of monthly and annual sales forecasts to assist in production planning.
  • Drive sales and product opportunities to achieve volume and product range sales targets.
  • Actively initiating and supporting marketing and other promotional activities.
  • GENERAL MANAGEMENT

  • Providing leadership, direction and support to the Retailer.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and support to the Account Executive.
  • Attend / facilitate meetings and customer buy meetings.
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Establishing credibility and fostering relationships within and between the Retailer and support departments.
  • Maintaining appropriate communications within and between the various functional areas. Advising functional areas of relevant operational developments.
  • Provide Merchandise with constructive feedback on product samples and product opportunities.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to ensure quality, timely and low cost delivery of product into the market place.
  • THE PERSON

    The Key Account Manager will ideally possess tertiary qualifications in a business related discipline together with at least five years account management experience within an apparel retail service environment. The incumbent will also have a proven ability to demonstrate the following:

  • Credibility. The incumbent will have extensive account management experience and the ability to positively impact revenue and profitability.
  • Will maintain an appropriate management profile, both within and external to the Company.

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the retail apparel industry
