    Description

    We are looking for an experienced, hardworking and safety conscious individual to fill the position of Plant Operator - Bobcat

    • Remuneration package of $2,263.38 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $2,716.06 gross per fortnight + superannuation (11%).
    • Access to Council's nine (9) day fortnight arrangement.

    Your new role:

    This position is responsible for effectively working as part of the Traffic and Transport team to undertake skidsteer operations, MR truck operations and labouring duties as required.

    Duties of this position will include but are not limited to:

    • Operate and maintain Council plant and equipment with an emphasis on skid steer and MR truck operation.
    • Undertake general labouring duties and road maintenance activities such as traffic management; pipe laying; concreting and paving; tar patching, hot mix and sealing works; construction and maintenance of kerb and guttering, culverts, headwalls and pits; stormwater system maintenance; bridge maintenance; signposts and guard rails; fencing; roadside maintenance works etc.
    • Maintain a strong focus on safety, following proper protocols and utilising appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

    What you will need to succeed:

    • Previous experience operating and maintaining a skidsteer as well as MR truck operation.
    • A General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
    • A Class MR Driver's Licence.
    • SafeWork NSW Traffic Controller Training Card and SafeWork NSW Implement Traffic. Control Plans Training Card.
    • Applicants must enjoy working outdoors and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
