    Job Description & Summary
To solve important problems we need diverse talent. Our people use their creativity, authenticity and human differences to be champions of change. When people from diverse backgrounds, with different points of view, work together, we create incredible value - for our clients, our people and our society.

In Deals our teams work on iconic deals with national and global clients as well as operating and investing in businesses, new ventures and entrepreneurs in our local market and communities. It's both a responsibility and a privilege to guide our clients through moments that matter deeply to them. Our breadth of clients in an ever-changing market means we need to be agile - responding when we need to, in a way that really makes a difference.

We draw upon our deals experience across many industries to support and partner with our clients, to positively impact society and the communities in which we operate. The insight we create, coupled with the innovative tools and methodologies we use to access and evaluate the data that matters, contributes to the success of our clients in all Deals situations. We encourage our clients to think more broadly - connecting their actions today with their successes tomorrow. We help our clients throughout the Deals lifecycle to create lasting value for their businesses.

We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our People In Deals team in either Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane .

Our People in Deals team supports our Deals clients by deploying HR expertise in an M&A environment. We deliver end-to-end HR services, across the entire deals lifecycle, delivering value through Mergers, Acquisitions & Integrations, Carve-Outs/Separations, Restructuring programmes and an array of other transactions and transformation initiatives.

Our team's experts cover a variety of HR areas such as workforce planning, employee transfers, organisational design, engagement and culture, retention, compensation & benefits, HR service delivery, employee relations, and HR systems and processes.

Our clients are from various industries as well as Private Equity (PE). The deals we advise on vary from small domestic to global and cross border transactions. We advise our clients throughout the whole deal cycle from due diligence to integration and separation planning and execution, as well as post deal business and cultural transformation.

As a Senior Manager in the team, you would be responsible for leading the delivery of value-focused people strategies for our clients across a variety of phases of the deal cycle. The people strategies you would develop and lead could be applied from due diligence to integration, from separation planning to execution, or around post deal business and cultural transformation.

You will be critical in leading the delivery of our People strategies to clients and will demonstrate subject matter expertise on the in-deal and post-deal space with knowledge and experience of both the employee engagement elements (culture change, change management and communication and talent management) as well as more technical aspects of a deal (organisation design, people transition and industrial relations) which may impact deal value or ability to execute.

The experience that will enable you to succeed in this role includes:

    • Significant experience of working on transactions, coupled with experience of business transformation
    • Strong HR background and deep understanding of the people agenda including recent industrial changes
    • Track record of working effectively within teams as the HR/People subject matter expert or project lead and have lead and managed successful workstream delivery to time and of a high quality
    • Experience working directly with the HR Directors and senior HR stakeholders to shape and drive the HR / People activities across an integration or separation programme, acting as a trusted advisor and providing insight and lessons learned to your client
    • Experience working directly with clients to scope the HR activities on transactions, and have experience of leading the pursuit of new business and on-sell opportunities
    • Professional services experience, and particularly a strong business development track record
    • Experience being a people leader / performance manager and / or coaching and developing client or internal teams to improve performance. You give ongoing, meaningful and impactful feedback to upskill members of your team, colleagues and managers
    • Experience across all key areas of the HR / People workstream in a deal, with a focus on in-deal and post-deal activities (culture change, change management, communications and talent management, organisation design, people transition or industrial relations)
    • Significant experience or subject matter expertise in one or more particular areas such as Change Management, Organisational Design, Workforce Planning or Culture
It's time to move forward. And upward.

You want to lead teams with impact and create meaningful change in a place with the flexibility and reward you need to make your life work away from the office.

We'll give you a career-defining leadership role that:
    • Is strong on growth and reward
    • Provides meaningful work and leadership opportunities
    • Has competitive and transparent salary packages with the opportunity for yearly bonuses and promotions
    • Supports you to grow your leadership skills with our Academy, study support and access to strong mentors across our global network
    • Prioritises new families with 26 weeks of parental leave
We're an inclusive bunch, and we try to make life easier - for our clients, our teams and our communities. If you need reasonable adjustments when applying, just let us know.
