    Golding currently seeks a Specialist Mechanical Engineer to be based on site at Curragh Mine project located near Blackwater. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will provide maintenance engineering support to the maintenance team including providing appropriate equipment performance analysis and reporting to facilitate decision-making, maintenance system development and reporting for the delivery of Golding targets.

    Candidates will hold Engineering qualifications and be highly capable, possessing not only the required technical skills but also demonstrated ability in applying effective social process skills, including leadership and communication. The successful candidate will have strong drive and energy and thrive on working in a challenging work environment.

    This is a residential or FIFO role that will operate on an 5:2 roster. Flights, meals and accommodation will be provided.

    Key Role Tasks

  • Prepare reports, schedules and plans in accordance with the site maintenance plan requirements such that they are accurate and timely;
  • Analyse equipment performance (both productivity and reliability) and make recommendations to your Manager;
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the implementation of the authorised maintenance plan and provide advice to your Manager on possible improvements;
  • Review maintenance and operational to identify performance trends and opportunities for improvement;
  • Lodge change evaluations, propose relevant actions for approval, and implement approved change evaluation actions including full Plant Change Management documentation as required;
  • Develop SAP task lists and associated objects as required in accordance with approved lifecycle plant rate strategies and maintenance plan requests;
  • Assemble service sheet task elements, including fluid selection, for approval, and develop service sheets in accordance with approved tasks and frequencies;
  • Work with the Technical Specialists and your Manager to identify issues with equipment reliability and participate in implementation of improvements.
  • Capability Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or similar;
  • Demonstrated experience with maintenance mobile mining equipment;
  • Strong working knowledge of the SAP Plant Maintenance module;
  • Demonstrated technical engineering skills proficiency;
  • Strong mental processing ability to solve complex problems;
  • Sound social process skills and the ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships;
  • Demonstrated strong drive, energy and work efficiency.
