    About the Role

    We currently have vacancies for highly safety, diagnostic and technically focused Deisel Fitters to join our maintenance crews at Saraji Coal Mine in QLD. We are offering 6/6 (3XD/3XN)

    You will be responsible for rebuilding heavy mobile machinery, predominately CAT machinery and or working in our Components department and training on this machinery are considered to be provided if you hold a mechanical trade and hands on experience with a transferrable mechanical trade skill-set.

    Positions may also arise in our components department.

    Your role will involve, but is not limited to:

    • Disassembling/assembling cat machinery such as dump trucks, graders, dozers and loaders
    • Diagnosing, analysing and repairing components
    • Creating a safe learning environment and a commitment to safety training and technical growth

    About you:

    • Relevant mechanical trade qualification
    • A proven commitment to safety
    • The ability to foster a teamwork atmosphere within your work group
    • Ability to adapt and evolve in a very fast paced mechanical environment
    • Demonstrated prior experience working with heavy plant and equipment or transferrable examples
    • Forklift and dogging tickets preferred – but not essential
