    Electrician

    • Permanent Full Time
    • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
    • $74,907 - $84,574 per annum (LGIA Stream C C10-C7 + Site + Tool Allowance + Leading Hand Allowance 2) (Minimum rate depending on qualifications and experience)
    • Location – Rockhampton

    Your new role

    Are you an enthusiastic, motivated Electrician seeking a role which sees you working locally and home each night with your family? Community Facilities is seeking a trade qualified Electrician to perform a wide range of electrical installation, maintenance, fault finding and testing activities which ensures the safe and efficient operation of Council's assets.

    With your knowledge of the relevant Electrical Australian standards, Acts and Regulations you will enjoy performing a variety of tasks and completing electrical projects within the Rockhampton Region. You are skilled at prioritising your work, and have the ability to read and interpret plans and problem solve.

    This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

    Application Criteria

    • Qld Electrical Workers Licence with Electrical Fitter and Electrical Mechanic qualifications or state-approved equivalent.
    • Experience across various aspects of electrical work including but not limited to switchboards, power and light, irrigation and pump motors, commercial equipment, traffic lights and CCTV.
    • Understanding of how Workplace Health & Safety, Australian standards, Electrical Safety Act and Regulations, and Codes of Practice are used in everyday practices.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with staff, contractors and the public.
