- Work closely with category managers to understand current procurement performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Partnering with key stakeholders to understand internal business requirements and determine and help develop the best sourcing and category management strategy.
- Recommend new strategies and procedures to ensure visibility and performance across suppliers.
- Monitor separate category performance and track the effectiveness of new initiatives.
- To work with the business in ensuring the category delivers the forecast benefits derived from sourcing initiatives and to drive further category productivity over the term of the contract.
- Working collaboratively as a team on budgeting activity for the next financial year looking at existing agreements and factoring in cost increase/decrease.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders on how best to engage the market and reach the best commercial outcome.
- Assist with spend analysis amongst different suppliers.
- Tertiary qualified with an Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree in Business or a related discipline
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect raw data and present it in a meaningful way to a range of stakeholders
- Exposure to procurement in a large FMCG environment is desirable
- Experience in consulting and implementing new procurement processes in a complex environment is advantageous
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
