    Summary

    We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Personnel Security professional, to lead the Airservices Personnel Security team in Brisbane / Melbourne.

    The Role & The Team

    The Senior Security & Systems Manager oversees operational and administrative support for suitability and ongoing suitability for employment background checks for all Airservices personnel and contractors, as well as the Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) program, National Security Clearances and Airservices' Identification Cards (AIC). This role is additionally accountable for all security systems managed by Airservices across Australia. This includes CCTV, Electronic Access control (EACS), Intruder alert systems & the National Security contract (Guarding).

    You will be required to:

    • Interpret regulatory changes within the business context for Airservices and adjust policies accordingly.
    • Lead functions to ensure organisational alignment with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) within the Personnel Security remit.
    • Manage internal and external stakeholder feedback about background checking and Identification processes on issues such as quality, timeliness, service and cost.
    • Provision of a range of ongoing Performance and Compliance reporting.
    • Establish and foster external stakeholder relationships with background checking partners and regulators; maintain currency of information.
    • Establish relationships across Airservices that have a stake in the personnel security function.
    • Keep current with trends in Personnel & Aviation Security and the changing and evolving functions across the Airservices value chain.

    The Person

    The successful applicant will possess:

    • A comprehensive understanding of the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) within the Personnel Security.
    • The ability to interpret regulations in the business context, with Aviation Security experience.
    • A strong business acumen and customer services focus, with proven abilities to deliver positive business outcomes to diverse stakeholders.
    • Well-developed interpersonal, representation and communication skills (both orally and written) – including a proven ability to develop, influence and maintain productive working relationships at all levels.
    • Detailed understanding of security systems and ability to interpret systems requirements to business needs.

    Security Clearance
