- Carry out engineering rail surveys for pre-construction and provide survey support for rail and civil construction works
- Support the development of geospatial deliverables, formats and standards, principles and procedures, methodologies and techniques in pursuit of best practice in innovation, cost effective and safe infrastructure design
- As directed, carry out Computer Aided Design CAD work (eg rail alignments) and prepare other Geospatial / Survey documented outputs (eg as con reports) relevant to railway engineering infrastructure projects
- Respond to and communicate effectively with stakeholders and colleagues through applying quality interpersonal and communication skills
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for business improvement, technology development and innovation to support Aurizon's Geospatial Survey systems
- Provide professional advice in the preparation of geospatial proposals and estimates
- Associates/Bachelor's degree of Spatial Science (Surveying) or equivalent (Preferred)
- 3+ years Surveying experience (Preferred)
- Rail, Construction or Engineering Surveying experience highly advantageous
- Leica or Topcon instrument experience & 12d software experience advantageous
- Registration with Surveyors Board of Queensland (preferred)
- You'll be able to prioritise work accordingly, manage your own time effectively and work autonomously
- Be an excellent verbal and written communicator

About the role: We are in search of a suitably experienced and motivated Surveyor to join our growing team. Working both independently and as part of our talented team you will have the opportunity to work across numerous rail civil infrastructure projects throughout Central Queensland. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply various aspects of the surveying profession and be a part of projects from the initial stages right through to completion.
