    Children's Services Authorised Officer's (VPS4)

    1 x full time, on-going position
    * VPS4 grade: $92,332- $104,762+ super
    * Usual hours of work: Full time, 38 hours per week.
    * Usual work location: Grampians Area, DE Office located in Ballarat

    The Opportunity

    The Department of Education is currently seeking a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail and a passion for meaningful work to support the Grampians Area team with the compliance and quality assessment of early education services.

    This dynamic and rewarding role will allow you the opportunity to promote quality improvement and strive to support centres to deploy best practice outcomes. You will do this by visiting centres and services in your regional area, assessing and monitoring compliance in adherence to the Education and Care Services National Law 2010 (National Law), Victorian Children's Services Act 1996 (Children's Services Act) and Child Safe Standards.

    Location:

    This position works across the South Western Victoria Region and is based in the Grampians Area team. The role involves travel across the Grampians Area, including metropolitan suburbs and regional areas such as Ballarat, Horsham, Bacchus Marsh, Ararat and Melton. The role will at times, include planned overnight stays. The Grampians Area team office is based in Ballarat.

    While you will ideally have compliance or investigative experience or experience working in an early learning environment with a deep understanding of the legislations and National Quality Framework, this is preferrable and not essential. Candidates with suitably transferrable skills will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
