Located in the heart of the Hunter Valley's coal loading and export complex in Newcastle, RIG Installations has been providing reliable and professional services in fabrication, installation and maintenance of mechanical plant, structural steelwork and piping in the region since 1987.

    We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Painter/Blaster Supervisor for our yard in Newcastle supporting various sites in the area.

    In the role of Painter/Blaster Supervisor you will carry out a wide range of tasks across project activities from planning, coordinating and supervising daily activities of work crews, ensuring compliance with internal, client and legislative HSE requirements through to ensuring that the quality, production and environmental requirements of the project are met.

    This is a local position. Relocation package available.

  • What you will bring

  • A minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience in Mining industry
  • Must be Trade qualified
  • Holding a NACE certification is highly advantageous
  • Be energetic and focused
  • Proven ability managing multidiscipline work crews
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of workplace health and safety
  • Experience in effective planning, scheduling, management of personnel, resources and equipment to meet Project requirements
  • Sound proficiency in the use of MS Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Open Drivers Licence
  • Proof of right to work in Australia
