    The Alstom Manufacturing facility in Dandenong remains committed to supplying Rolling Stock throughout Australia. Our dedicated test track ensures rigorous evaluation of our vehicles before delivery to our customer. We are seeking an enthusiastic Line Manager to join our team and contribute to the successful execution of our exciting projects.

    We are currently looking for a Line Manager to join our Production team in Dandenong

    Reporting to the Site Production Manager the primary purpose of the role is to Manage all the manufacturing activities for your project(s) on the Line, including the responsibilities linked to the position as hierarchical manager of all the employees of the manufacturing organization who belong to this Manufacturing Line.

    We'll look to you for the following activities:

    • Preparation and planning of the line activities
    • Reviewing manufacturing resources & skills management (staffing, trainings, qualification)
    • Industrial process Hand-over from Production Manufacturing Engineer to manufacturing
    • Finalization of manufacturing preparation of the line
    • Assist with managing the complete scope of manufacturing activities for the product on the line, which also includes:
    • Intermediate Handover with EPU's, self-inspections, dynamic checklist, rework, missing parts, waivers/deviations and incomplete operations etc
    • On time, closing of work orders in system
    • Deployment of Alstom Performance Systems (APSYS) on the line
    • Monitoring performance, and tracking the associated KPI
    • Continuous improvement
    • Record productive & Nonproductive hours

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience

    • Minimum Trade Qualification
    • Previous position in an industrial manufacturing environment
    • Proven experience in a similar role
    • Experience in rail is preferable
    • Knowledge of Special Processes such as Welding, Crimping, Fabrication etc
    • Team Management including management of cross functional teams.
