    The role

    We are seeking a proactive Quality Test Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems by analysing current and future state system requirements. Your primary responsibilities will include planning, documenting, preparing, and executing all test activities for our Primary Health Insights systems. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand user quality requirements and minimize adverse impacts to existing PHI Production systems. The primary purpose will be to develop test plans and test cases for System Integration Test (SIT) and User Acceptance Test (UAT), record software defects, track them through to resolution, publish test results and prepare test status reports.

    This role will be offered as an on-going position on a full-time basis and offers the flexibility to work from home and office.

    Key tasks and responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test activities following a structured methodology throughout the software development life cycle.
    • Adhere to and propose enhancements to the overarching PHI Test Strategy, testing, and release practices to ensure the delivery of stable and reliable PHI systems.
    • Identify defects, assess their potential impact on software functionality, and recommend the scope of adequate Regression testing.
    • Support the design, development, and improvement of test and release practices to enhance overall system quality.
    • Identify potential risks to test scope and timeline and communicate them to PHI Quality and Release Lead and/or Project Leads and Managers.
    • Establish a Traceability Matrix as part of system test scoping and planning to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
    • Review overarching test strategy and test management plans, adhering to guidelines and principles provided therein.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools by proactively identifying areas for optimisation and efficiency gains within the testing lifecycle.

    About you

    To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:

    Essential experience and education

    • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or a closely related field.
    • Extensive experience across all levels/phases of IT systems testing.
    • Strong proficiency in various testing types, including System, Integration, Performance, and User Acceptance testing.
    • Proven track record in problem-solving and root cause analysis within a testing environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Advanced skills in documenting project test plans and accurately estimating test efforts.
    • Demonstrated capability in developing and executing system test cases, encompassing systems integration scenarios, with or without test tools.
    • Proficiency in coordinating testing activities across projects and providing comprehensive status reporting to stakeholders.
    • Previous experience as a software quality assurance analyst or test analyst within a software development setting.
    • Proficient in writing and executing SQL queries for effective database testing.
    • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
