    The Smith Family is a children's education charity that helps young Australians experiencing disadvantage to create better futures for themselves through harnessing the power of education.

    We are seeking an experienced Communications Content Co-ordinator to join our family. Reporting to the National Manager, Communications and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, this role will raise awareness, understanding and consideration of The Smith Family through the development and delivery of consistent and brand aligned digital, multimedia content and collateral; supporting key projects across owned, earned and paid media to achieve organisational objectives.

    About our role

    You will be responsible for:

    • Produce and create content for posts, blogs and collateral sourcing images, videos, and writing content to support comms team
    • Support Content Planner with Social media planning, posting and reporting (when required)
    • Co-ordinate and channel general communications requests from the whole , ensuring that brand guidelines are adhered to and requisite approvals obtained
    • Work with the Content Strategist and contribute to the implementation social media strategy to increase brand awareness, online discussion and stakeholder engagement
    • Proactively escalate issues, observations, opportunities, and insights.

    About you

    As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:

    • Degree qualification in business management, communications, or marketing or 3+ years' experience coordinating marketing activity.
    • Experience producing and editing videos
    • Experience with writing and managing content for social media
    • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently whilst managing multiple deadlines
    • Have or willing to obtain an employee Working With Children's Check
