About the Role

As part of the Appian Development Team, the Appian Software Engineer will be responsible for the analysis, build and support of Appian software solutions. You'll work with team members and stakeholders to actively contribute to team goals and ensure development work assigned will be completed on time with quality. You will also proactively drive and contribute to activities included but not limited to technical innovation, development optimization, quality improvement, technical debt reduction, dashboard and reporting. This role will also work with internal and external stakeholders to actively contribute to related objectives. You'll also have the opportunity to work on different/multiple topics with various teams, platforms, and stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

• Meet technical requirements in the Appian platform, including design, sizing, and capacity assessment.
• Establish and enforce development standards and Appian best practices.
• Optimize, automate, and monitor AGL's Appian custom code and related processes.
• Manage project and stakeholder expectations.
• Collaborate with BAU teams to improve the DevOps model.
• Support leadership in audit reviews, security, risk assessment, and project governance.
• Uphold AGL Values and promote collaboration across the business.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment Systems.

About You

• Appian development experience, adept in architecture, design, and best practices.
• Proficient in Appian tools, plugins, web services, and integration tech.
• Experience integrating Appian with Azure, Salesforce, and SAP via RESTful APIs.
• Design and build high-performance processes, troubleshoot production issues, and analyze health results.
• Familiarity with Appian's Data fabric, RPA, AI skills, and process mining tools.
• Strong SQL skills, Agile mindset, and proven track record in team development and innovation.
