    Allstaff Australia is seeking a highly experienced Executive Officer at the SOG C level to manage the office of the Chief Digital Officer, ACT Government.

    This position is a 6 month temporary role commencing immediately.

    This role is primarily responsible for overseeing the office of the Chief Digital Officer, ensuring smooth workflow and effective communication, involving managing and prioritising all administrative tasks.

    Responsiblities will include:

  • Overseeing workflow related to strategic documents such as correspondence, reports, and submissions on a range of issues.
  • Acting as the liaison between the Chief Digital Officer and high-profile stakeholders including ministers and directors-general.
  • Providing high-level executive support, which includes managing communications, prioritising tasks, preparing confidential documents, and coordinating group responses.
  • Organising and supporting administrative aspects of meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and record-keeping.
  • Maintaining correspondence tracking systems to ensure responses are timely and meet quality standards.
  • Reviewing and actioning reports and submissions to guarantee their relevance, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Monitoring customer relations to ensure efficient and timely responses.
  • Leading and supervising a team of executive assistants to ensure efficient workflow and task completion within set deadlines.
  • Directly managing at least one Executive Assistant, overseeing their duties and performance.
  • Skills and experience required:
    • Expert level MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Advanced knowledge of the ACT Government business and administrative processes and policies.
    • Ability to efficiently plan, organise and prioritise, and anticipate possible changing circumstances; to manage workload and competing priorities and multiple demands to meet deadlines;
    • Establish and maintain effective and diverse strategic business partnerships, including with senior stakeholders and clients; through collaboration, engagement, responsiveness and influence;
    • Analytical thinking, particularly the ability to understand how issues integrate and to make rational judgements from available information;
    • Advanced ability to present verbal and written information clearly in a well-structured and logical way;
    • Adaptability to changing circumstances and resilience while performing in a high pressure, complex and diverse environment.
    Please note: A current ACT Government CMTEDD issued Personnel Vetting Program certificate (Baseline clearance equivalent) is required for this position, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
