    ABOUT THE POSITION:

As we embark on this journey of outreach, we are seeking an individual who is passionate about facilitating learning programs and workshops that will inspire and engage diverse audiences. Through this position, we hope to bring the unique vision and mission of our Museums to life, and help every member of our community experience the joy of discovery.

    NOTABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    We are seeking a candidate who has prior experience in facilitating learning programs, workshops and shows for diverse audiences. Key duties of this role include:

    • Facilitate learning programs, workshops and shows for education booked groups (primarily four-year-old kindergarten groups and primary school groups) and the general family audiences using professional judgement to optimise learning for diverse audiences in regional Victoria and Greater Metropolitan Melbourne.
    • Use contemporary digital tools to support and deliver engaging educational experiences both virtually and face-to-face, including troubleshooting and device management.
    • Set up, pack up and assist in maintaining materials and resources used in the delivery of programs, workshops and activities and initiate improvements as required.
    • Under direction, collaborate in the development of programs, including research, crafting scripts and activities, sourcing and preparation of materials etc.
    • Provide feedback on audience response to programs, implement evaluation tools and participate in debriefs for audience evaluations and customer service purposes, as required.
    • Work collaboratively with other Museums Victoria departments for the day-to-day delivery of programs

    OTHER INFORMATION

    This is a part-time 0.4 FTE (minimum 30.4 hours per fortnight); Ongoing position. The salary on offer is $66,063 base of grade (pro rata) + 11% superannuation.
