    Clinical Nurse Consultant - Regional Complex Care Coordinator

    The Department of Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Regional Complex Care Coordinator to provide clinical co-ordination, assessment and developmentally appropriate therapeutic interventions to meet the needs of young people and their families/significant others who present with very high and complex care needs.

    This role will support an identified cohort of young people and the people/services involved in their care, providing specialist expertise to intervene as early as possible to change their life trajectory and bring about better quality of life outcomes.

    Our Aim: To provide high level clinical coordination services that support right place, right care principles to facilitate determined need, undertaking high level assessments and developing an individual plan that includes bringing together the right mix of services across government and non-government agencies.

    The successful applicant will be part of a dynamic and well supported team committed to delivering high quality mental health services to children, young people, and their families/carers, promoting a positive working culture by developing effective partnerships and exceptional working relationships with all stakeholders.

    About the Role:

    • Provide specialist clinical coordination service that supports right place, right care principles to facilitate determined need.
    • Undertake high level assessments and develop an individual plan that includes bringing together the right mix of services across government and non-government agencies.
    • Promote a positive working culture by developing effective partnerships and exceptional working relationships with all stakeholders.
    • Work with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team.

    Details of Appointment:

    A fixed term full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of twelve months. Salary: $111,506 - $118,336 per annum.

    We offer 11.5% superannuation contribution on top of this amount.

    Selection Criteria:

    • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess specialist tertiary graduate or post graduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification; or completed, prior to the transfer of nurse education to the tertiary sector, an accredited hospital-based program that led to registration as a psychiatric nurse by the relevant nurse regulatory authority within Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United Kingdom.
    • Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.
    • Current Driver's Licence.
