    About the OPPORTUNITY

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Enablement PM to join our Hunter Class Frigate delivery team based at Osborne Naval Shipyard, SA.

    Reporting to the Delivery Enablement Senior Project Manager, this role will be responsible for effectively engaging stakeholders, leading a project team and managing sub-contractors / consultants to achieve project requirements efficiently, effectively and safely.

    Working across all aspects of Project Management, the successful applicant will be responsible for program issue identification, capture, reporting and management across the program, in addition to driving balanced decision making with consideration to commercial, financial, and integrated program impact.

    We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Integrating with SCAM and CAM areas, utilising existing information and reviews to identify emerging and current issues across the program.
    • Utilising data and metrics to enable the Program Lead Team to identify emerging issues within the program to be addressed.
    • Managing remediation activities of identified issues to closure.
    • Contributing to the overall plan of work and status updates to be reported to the Program Lead Team weekly / monthly as required for all identified program issues.
    • Developing plans and delivery approaches for implementation of remediation or recovery activities for allocated issues
    • Utilising influencing skills to engage and manage stakeholders and stakeholder expectations
    • Integrating with the wider business to support the assessment of integrated impacts, options analysis, and proposed solutions to the Program Team Lead.

    About YOU

    • Tertiary Qualification in Project Management or Engineering (advantageous)
    • Previous experience in a Project Management role (defence preferred)
    • Demonstrated experience in delivering through integrated matrix teams, using leadership and influencing skills.
    • Proven experience delivering successful projects in addition to stakeholder engagement and management skills
    • The ability to synthesise complex information and messages to executive stakeholders
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
    • Baseline Defence Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain
