    The Role

    • Perform complex activities and tasks relating to Product/System Management and working to agreed priorities and outcomes.
    • Deliver complex services and products through planning, organisation control and integration.
    • Apply knowledge and experience to undertake objective and systematic analysis to develop system products to meet Defence objectives.
    • Develop Statements of Work and Request for Quotes using technical and professional knowledge and experience to meet Defence objectives.
    • Work collaboratively with peers and stakeholders to understand their requirements and solve complex issues as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
    • Communicate with stakeholders and line management regarding engineering and technical aspects across the Defence materiel capability lifecycle including preparing briefs, proposals, reports and presentations.
    • Interpret and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks in the preparation and approval of submissions, estimates, specifications and documents.

    About our Team
    The Submarine Escape and Rescue Team form part of the Collins Submarine Program within the National Shipbuilding Sustainment Group (NSSG) is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia's Collins Class submarines. The Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability to the nation.

    • Skills and experience in technical, logistics or product/system management
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)

    • Sound commercial and business acumen and a demonstrated understanding of the Defence Industry Sector in Australia
    • Leadership and Management with demonstrated accomplishments
    • Capable of managing multiple and competing stakeholders requirements
    • Exceptional attitude to challenges and change management.
    • Experience in managing marine platforms, CCSM knowledge applicable to Escape and Rescue Systems is desirable.
