About the RoleWe have a brand-new opportunity for a Program Director - AML Tech & Data to join our Data & Analytics team within Group Tech The Program Director - AML Tech & Data is a core strategic role within BOQ Group and is part of the Data & Analytics leadership team.
Reporting into the Head of Data Transformation, this role will work closely with the Chief Data Officer, Group General Manager Financial Crime and the Chief Compliance Officer.
You will focus on the delivery of Technology and Data solutions to support AML/CTF compliance across the Group.This role will also be responsible for managing day to day oversight of the Tech & Data workstream on AML First program and will also be accountable for leading and delivering objectives of AML First program Tech & Data workstream.
About youWe are seeking an individual with significant experience leading data initiatives and fostering organisational change as well as extensive expertise in managing Data & Analytics teams.
Their robust background in the Financial Crime domain is complemented by a strong business acumen, enabling them to anticipate business needs and provide guidance to senior executives.
They excel in communicating technical information to non-technical audiences and possess a sound understanding of Australia's financial services regulatory environment, particularly in Financial Crime obligations.
The ideal candidate will be highly curious and comfortable with ambiguity, exhibit strong relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills both internally and externally.
With influencing skills and excellent coaching and mentoring abilities, they are ideally suited for this role.Preferred qualifications include consulting experience, banking experience, and a bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, or information technology.
