    Job Description

    We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced software developer to join our high-performance team and be part of the journey towards Continuous Delivery and an improved customer experience. You'll be working closely with BA, QA and other developers in the Pod under the guidance of a Tech Lead, Dev Manager and Product owner to deliver solutions to support TAL's Direct business. The person filling this position is expected to work as a reliable team member within the pod to refine requirements, design solutions and engineer quality solutions in an Agile environment and continuing our drive for CI/CD and DevOps

    Please note: We are only considering Australian Permanent Residents and Citizens at this point.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Analyse specified requirements and design appropriate solutions to implement specified functional and non-functional requirements.
    • Collaborate with team and stakeholders to ensure delivery is fit for purpose.
    • Develop solutions and features across our technical stack: React, .NET 5.0+ and APIs (RESTful, GraphQL).
    • Working with UX designers to design, implement and apply themes to the white-labelled React components.
    • Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and conforms to established standards and procedures and quality gates.
    • Ensure appropriate documentation of builds and related information is completed.
    • Contribute to the overall maturity of the Agile approach, CI/CD practices and DevOps
    • Assist the application ops support team when required.

    Qualifications

    Essential skills

    • Demonstrable experience in developing solutions within an Agile team.
    • Proficient written and oral communication skills and the ability to write concise coherent documentation.
    • Takes control of own work organisation and time management within team's cadence.
    • The willingness to "keep up to date" as technology evolves.
    • Demonstrable experience with C#, .NET 5.0+ and APIs (RESTful, GraphQL).
    • Experience with unit, integration and functional testing frameworks.
    • Experience with Azure Tools/Infrastructure.
    • Experience working with Content Management Systems (Sitecore, Contentful).
    • Exposure with Marketing operation tools (Adobe Analytics, Google 360).
    • Financial Services background with Life insurance experience.
    • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
    • Familiarity with CI toolset TeamCity, GIT, Octopus Deploy.
    • Experience working with Jira and Confluence.
