  • About the role

    The Yarrila Arts and Museum, Visitor Experience Officer will assist in and support the delivery of Museum and Gallery services to the community and provide a positive visitor experience at various touchpoints throughout the facility.

    The successful candidate will be a positive team player and have significant customer service experience in a cultural or high focused customer service environment and can connect with and interact professionally with a diverse clientele that attend the Yarrila Arts & Museum precinct.

  • Ability to think proactively and be solution focussed. Be flexible and willing to assist in a range of duties relating to Library, Museum and Gallery public programs, events, and exhibitions.
  • What's on offer?

  • $33.25 per hour + Superannuation
  • Permanent Part-time position - Tuesday to Sunday, 24 hours per week.
  • Generous leave entitlements - long service leave after 5 years
  • Scope for performance-based salary increases.
  • Essentials Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of Certificate III in a relevant field such as Museum study, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Marketing or Cultural Heritage.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in a cultural facility or in a relevant customer focussed service organisation.
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence.
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) - Desirable
  • The successful candidate will work within the Museum and Gallery space and therefore aligns to the operating hours, the ability to travel to and work at any City of Coffs Harbour locations and to be available across a seven (7) day roster which covers core operating hours and days in an inherent requirement of this role.
