About The Role
Internship experience in water and flooding preferred.
Graduate Engineer to support the Flooding and Water Team located in Sydney. You will be involved in flood modelling and drainage design for a variety of projects from small scale development to catchment-wide council flood studies to major infrastructure across Australia. Our recent projects include M1 Raymond Terrace, Sydney Metro, Country Rail washaway assessments, flood evacuation plans and more.

Key Responsibilities Include:
With support from your mentor and our team of technical specialists your responsibilities will include:
· Developing hydrologic and hydraulic models cand calculations to assist in flood modelling and drainage design such as TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, DRAINS, WBNM, RORB and GIS packages.
· GIS data analysis and flood mapping
· Design of waterways and flood mitigation measures, scour mitigation design and cross-drainage
· Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and actively participating in interdisciplinary workshops as required.
· Technical reporting.
· Directly contacting clients and stakeholders
· Site walkovers and inspections
About You
To succeed in this position, you'll bring experience such as:
· Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science.
· Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
· A strong desire to learn and solve problems in a team context.
· The ability to multi-task and self-prioritise workload.
· High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
