    Description

    We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled Registered Nurses to join the Mackillop Ward at Calvary Adelaide Hospital.

    MacKillop Ward cares for a variety of medical and surgical patients and takes patients from ED as well as planned elective surgery. Most of our patients are short stay surgical patients and we utilise team nursing to provide the best possible experience for our patients.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join our amazing team in the newest and largest private hospital in South Australia.

    We work closely with our Medical Officers to provide high quality and personalised care for our patients. The successful applicant will aim to support and entrench a culture of clinical excellence and best practice.

    About you

    The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Must be able to work a 7 day rotating roster.
    • Providing outstanding comprehensive clinical care and exceptional customer service to patients and their families
    • Assessing, planning, coordinate and evaluate the care delivery needs of each individual patient
    • Demonstrate clinical skills and problem-solving skills relevant to the care of individual patient
    • Compassionate and empathetic nature
    • Work well within a team environment
    • Have sound time management skills
    • Have the ability to recognise patient deterioration

    What you bring

    • AHPRA Registration
    • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
    • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
    • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
    • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
