Line 2 Retail Banking Services (RBS) Operational Risk team is responsible for the Operational Risk management frameworks for RBS and Bankwest. In delivering these services we support RBS in achieving its strategic goals while sustainably operating within Risk Appetite.

Our team provides risk advice and risk oversight of the digital banking business, with a focus on the risks associated with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and fraud and scams.

Do work that matters:

We ensure efficiency, consistency, and quality across the RBS function, by providing advice and services relating to, Risk Governance, Risk Appetite, Assurance Programs and Regulatory developments. This includes independent Line 2 assurance, advice, insights to identify and develop best practice policies, systems and processes to manage and minimise risk.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

• Investigating business problems, identifying root cause, potential solutions and expected customer outcomes.
• Assist in identification of data to provide risk insights and support the development of risk reporting and, analysis.
• Assist in independent risk reviews of critical business processes and key risk exposures, including technology risks, data management risks and modelling and AI risks.
• Provide risk advice to guide the business in the implementation of change initiatives that enabling customer, risk and business outcomes.
• Assist management in the implementation and communication of risk management projects.
• Work productively together with your team to meet deadlines.

• Understand information technology and how to safely deliver technical change.
• Are inquisitive and passionate about using dData to identify any emerging trends or issues.

• Can collaborate with other colleagues, management and stakeholders.
• Can think creatively, handle change and work to deadlines.
• Graduate with 1-2 years' experience with a relevant degree such as Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or Mathematics (or similar qualification).
