    About the Role

    Based at our Brisbane office, the purpose of this role is to develop and deliver the Reliability Management Plans for Control Systems Equipment across the Cooper / CSG Onshore Assets.

    This position is a Technical Authority for the Control Systems Engineering discipline.

    Key accountabilities include:
    Provide technical support/leadership for Control Systems to all Onshore Cooper/CSG assets including troubleshooting, minor project scoping, and operations support.
    Act as an engineering focal point for USO control systems, Control System programming, Controls architecture, alarm rationalisation and high-performance HMI screen modifications
    Responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing risk reduction and mitigation measures for all Control Systems assets.
    Assist Onshore Cooper/CSG Operations with the effective implementation and compliance with technical standards
    Analyse all critical Control System equipment for identification of bad actors, threats and risks and develop solutions for improvement.
    Investigation and reporting operational issues (troubleshooting/failures) as required.
    Provide technical support to project groups and commissioning teams on Control Systems proposed for Onshore Cooper/CSG operations.
    Identify Control System optimisation opportunities to maximise the production, reliability, and availability.
    Accountable for Control System Engineering discipline approval and QA for Santos Mo C processes and engineering job requests
    Identify and deliver opportunities to deliver costs, improve performance or improve profitability.

    About YouHolding a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Control Systems/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering along with a Chartership in Engineering and RPEQ, the ideal candidate will possess significant practical experience - preferably within a high-pressure Oil and Gas, Refining/Petrochemical industry.

    It is also essential that you can demonstrate a working knowledge of:
    Operation, maintenance and troubleshooting experience in Control Systems/Electrical/Instrumentation systems hardware and software.
    Critical Protection systems (ESD) and Process Control Systems (DCS/ SCDA) experience
    Management Of Change (MOC/CDCR) systems
    Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (SAP)
    Root Cause Analysis investigations
    Communications / telemetry hardware and software
    Various vendor PLCs and ability to configure and troubleshoot.
    Network, Communication designs and implementation
    Design reviews, HAZOP/CHZOP, SIL/LOPA studies and reviews
    Alarm management, control and corporate network.
