Calling all Automation Test Analysts

ACT ONLY – AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP REQUIREDA high-profile project within a prominent agency is seeking an experienced Automated Test Engineer to lead the automation of functional, regression, and performance testing.

This role involves taking full ownership of identifying the automation scope, building test frameworks, and developing a comprehensive test suite tailored to the project's needs.

The successful candidate will initially focus on the Design Revitalisation project, with the potential for reassignment depending on project scope changes.

This position offers the chance to enhance testing environments, report on automation results, and contribute significantly to the project's success within an agile framework

Key Duties:
Develop and execute a comprehensive automation strategy for functional, regression, and performance testing, ensuring high-quality testing environments.
Collaborate closely with Automation Test Leads for the estimation, structure, and execution of automation tasks.

Report on automation outcomes, detailing defects and improvements, and support the agile project delivery by adhering to defined scopes and timelines.

Enhance the current automated testing framework and contribute to the training of team members on best practices and testing strategies

Essential Criteria:

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in automated testing activities within a complex IT environment, including at least 1 year of performance testing experience.

Proficiency in automation frameworks, with strong hands-on experience in both functional and performance testing, especially in testing REST APIs using Java-based frameworks like Rest Assured.

Demonstrated experience with Selenium, Jenkins, Git Hub, Java development, and preferably Serenity BDD, with specific experience in Jenkins Pipelines for release process integration.

Experience in automating API tests and working with multiple database technologies (My SQL, Postgres, Oracle), complemented by excellent communication and training skills

Desirable Criteria:

Over 6 years of experience in automated testing and more than 2 years in performance testing, showcasing a depth of knowledge in automation best practices.
