We are recruiting on behalf of a Federal Government Department that is a vital member of Australia's national security community. This Department works across the full spectrum of operations required of contemporary signals intelligence and security agencies.

This Department is seeking an experience Systems Administrator to join their team for a long term opportunity within a secure working environment. There will be 2 jobs on offer, one at LOE 3 and one for LOR 4.

SFIA Skills required for this role are as follows;

• LOR 3: ITOP 3, SCTY 3, SCAD 3, SINT 3
• LOR 4: ITOP 4, SYSP 4, SCTY 4, SCAD 4, SINT 4

Major Responsibilities

LOR 3

• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of a complex ICT environment containing VMware, Windows and/or Linux based systems.
• Contribute to the provisioning, support and maintenance of Storage Area Network (SAN) appliance, physical and virtual server infrastructure and a small fleet of desktops.

LOR 4

• Plan and contribute to the implementation and maintenance of a complex ICT environment containing VMware, Windows and/or Linux based systems.
• Plan and contribute to the provisioning, support and maintenance of Storage Area Network (SAN) appliance, physical and virtual server infrastructure and a small fleet of desktops.

Key Experience required

LOR 3

• Essential: Experience in administering a secure and reliable VMware, Linux and/or Windows ICT environment
• Desirable: Data processing, scripting and coding skills, specifically in Bash, XSLT, PowerShell, Python or C.
• Desirabe: Experience in administering virtual machine systems, particularly VMware or Red Hat

LOR 4

• Essential: Proven experience in administering a secure and reliable VMware, Linux and/or Windows ICT environment.
• Desirable: Data processing, scripting and coding skills, specifically in Bash, XSLT, PowerShell, Python or C.
• Desirable: Experience in administering virtual machine systems, particularly VMware and/or Red Hat.
