Protech is recruiting a Leading Hand on new projects in Yatala and Ripley. These will be major long term civil projects on subdivision and roadworks sites.

As a leading hand, you will be responsible for assisting labourers, training, and delegating works. Additionally, you will help ensure that a safe site is maintained throughout, and communicating to other supervisors and foreman about progress or challenges.

Responsibilities

• Directing and leading labourers on site

• Monitor compliance with safety and environmental requirements

• Reading and interpreting plans

• Communicating effectively with team on priorities daily

• Maintain daily record of site activities

• Collaborate with Foreman, Project Manager, and Engineers on progress, priorities, and challenges

Skills and Qualifications

• Valid open driver's licence

• Proven track record of strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

• Plant machinery tickets will be highly regarded

• Experience working on major civil projects
