Your opportunity

We are looking for a Technical Director – Water who is an enthusiastic and proactive with a proven track record in water infrastructure, planning and design who can join and lead our growing team and help us deliver a range of exciting projects. You will have a passion and enjoy developing client relationships within the QLD and national market to secure opportunities with a focus on water security and resilience. You will provide line management functions to direct reports, developing existing talent and lead these teams on complex projects to provide excellent project outcomes and client satisfaction.
You will work in close partnership with local and overseas colleagues, clients and contractors, building strong relationships that will enhance the company's reputation and help secure further work.

Candidate Specification

• Degree level qualification in engineering, or other related discipline. Chartered and RPEQ is preferred or ability to achieve RPEQ.

• Extensive experience in water infrastructure, planning and design for medium to large-scale projects

• Client focused mindset with a strong ability to develop client relationships, responding to their needs.

• Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in an engineering design team and delivering quality service

• High level of motivation and dedication, an appetite for fast-paced major projects, and the ability to work in a team environment and under pressure

• Ability to successfully communicate with clients, sub-consultants and contractors

• Ability to guide and mentor junior staff
