    Senior Payroll Officer

    CPL Group, a leading not-for-profit organisation, seeks a highly skilled Senior Payroll Officer to join its head office finance team.

    About the Role

    This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary and an estimated $51,015 per annum (based on $95,000 salary) in tax savings. As a valued member of our team, you will provide accurate and timely payroll services, advice, and support to all employees and managers within CPL.

    You will be responsible for:

    • End-to-end payroll processing, including preparation, processing, and reconciliation using the Aurion Payroll system.
    • Reviewing and ensuring compliance with payroll policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Serving as the escalation point for payroll queries, addressing complex cases, discrepancies, and high-level inquiries.
    • Investigating and resolving payroll issues, liaising with internal departments and external parties as needed.

    Selection Criteria

    To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

    • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing in a similar-sized organisation.
    • A strong understanding of the SCHADs Award.
    • Experience and skills with large payroll systems, preferably Aurion.
    • The ability to handle complex payroll escalations.
    • In-depth knowledge of Australian Payroll legislation and the ability to apply it accurately.
