    About the Role

    We are seeking a dynamic occupational therapist to join our supportive and highly skilled occupational therapy team.

    The successful applicant will participate in our rotation program, gaining exposure in various clinical areas such as acute medical services, acute surgical services, emergency care, inpatient sub-acute services, community outreach, and hand therapy.

    As part of our team, you will receive regular professional supervision from a senior Occupational Therapist, coordinated continuing professional development opportunities, and a gradual introduction to clinical caseload responsibilities within a supportive team environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • To assess, plan, and implement realistic treatment and outcome goals for clients, appropriate to entry-level or Grade 1 Occupational Therapist.
    • To develop effective interpersonal and communication skills that promote service and client interests.
    • To demonstrate knowledge and interest in hospital and community-based aged care and rehabilitation.
    • To work effectively within a team environment.
    • To manage time, solve problems, and make decisions efficiently.
    • To understand and commit to Quality Improvement.
    • To commit to ongoing professional development and meet the AWH Wodonga Allied Health Credentialing and Professional Standards document.

    Requirements

    1. Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
    2. Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
