    Position Purpose

    To conduct testing in the NATA ISO/IEC 17025 accredited physical testing laboratory. This position is a 12 month contract.

    Areas of Responsibility

  • Adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate safe working behaviours.
  • Actively participate in the safety connections system.
  • Keep laboratory and associated areas clean and tidy.
  • Knowledge of location and use of fire extinguishers and spill kits.
  • Adherence to SOPs and test standards for test methods of both NATA and internal QC testing (ISO 17025 and ISO 9001).
  • Demonstrate an intimate knowledge of the testing standards.
  • Conduct testing to Australian Standards: mechanical testing on finished goods and assisting with problem solving in manufacturing.
  • Assistance with on-going R&D projects.
  • Testing related to customer complaints.
  • Raw materials testing and troubleshooting to assist with manufacturing.
  • Conduct internal verifications of laboratory equipment.
  • Writing of test reports.
  • Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Laboratory role
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Laboratory Practices or tertiary qualification in science preferred, not required
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Lab report writing.
  • NATA accredited laboratory experience an advantage.
