    Due to continuous growth, My Pet Hub Balaclava is looking for a passionate and experienced vet nurse to join our friendly team on Saturday's 8am-2pm, with the possibility of additional hours throughout the week.

    My Pet Hub Balaclava has recently re-opened in November 2023. We have a caring and experienced team of veterinarians and nurses who are committed to providing excellent customer service and exceptional pet care.

    We are a very supportive team and pride ourselves on a positive, encouraging clinical culture. It is important for us that the candidate fits well with our team over anything else. We encourage and support further learning and development of our team, as a group and as individuals.

  • Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide effective support to veterinarians in all aspects of veterinary nursing, including animal handling, IV catheter placement and blood collection
  • Maintain an excellent level of patient care and customer service at all times, treating every patient as if they were your own
  • Monitoring anaesthesia and assisting in routine procedures and all reception tasks
  • Maintain a consistently high level of organisation and cleanliness in the hospital and reception areas at all times. All members of our team help with all tasks, including cleaning and including the vets It is not unusual to see a vet clean a cage or mop the floor so if you don't like to clean, this is not the workplace for you.
  • Do you possess the following attributes?

  • Minimum 2 years' clinical experience with Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) being an advantage
  • You must be positive, dedicated and easy going, yet organised and self-driven, team players only
  • The ability to work well and remain calm under pressure
  • A keen desire to deliver excellent standards of patient care and customer service at all times
  • A willingness to learn, grow and develop as a nurse and together with our team
  • Excellent general computer literacy. Working knowledge of Ezy Vet an advantage
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
