    : CIT, Department of Creative and Design industries is looking for an exceptional office administration to join their team, providing a range of duties in support of the work of the department.

    The position reports to the Head of the Department, the primary focus of the position is to provide support to all teaching, technical and administration staff and to be the point of contact for all students, employers, stakeholders and their enquiries. The role is highly diverse and would suit someone who is a quick learner and enjoy a challenge.

    Department of Creative and Design Industries, areas are: Visual Arts, Interior Design, Fashion and Photography

    The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of operational and administrative tasks to support the department, which include but not limited to the following duties:

  • provide high level client service to both internal and external stakeholders to support and promote the department/college priorities.
  • Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with staff at all levels, students and members of the public.
  • Develop knowledge of the work practices, procedures and guidelines to support CIT in the administration of courses for all students.
  • Provide support and information as required in relation to student, employer and general enquiries including support services, program information and enrolment processes.
  • Undertake a range of competing operational and administrative tasks across the department/college as required, such as room bookings, record keeping, meeting organisation, coordination of and maintenance of student information, filing and electronic file management.
  • Work with Microsoft Office Suite as well as CIT's student management system, Banner, and learning management system (LMS), eLearn, and the electronic file management system, TRIM.
  • This position does not involve direct supervision of staff.
  • Eligibility/Other requirements:

  • Experience in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Experience in a customer service environment and working as part of a team
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience in using Banner, CRM and/or TRIM
  • Notes: This is a temporary position available for a period of 12 months with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
