    The Role:
    Reporting to the Global Payroll Manager you will be involved in payroll processing activities for specific payroll groups including the preparation, processing and balancing of payroll.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supporting payroll processing activities utilizing internal or external payroll technologies
    • Administering and reviewing allowances and withholdings, taxes and other income and deductions
    • Ensuring payroll is prepared according to internal processes and payments are calculated and paid accurately and timely
    • Ensuring proper taxes and other deductions are withheld
    • Reviewing the issuance of checks and preparing off-cycle or replacement checks
    • Maintaining payroll system information
    • Reviewing information prepared for general ledger entries and other accounting and financial reporting activities associated with payroll
    • Leading the review and preparation of data necessary for the filing of payroll-related tax returns
    • Ensuring generation of year-end reports
    • Serving internal and external resources on payroll-related inquiries
    • Leading continuous improvement projects and initiatives
    • Supporting the development and maintenance of payroll process documentation
    • Ensuring compliance with internal controls on payroll systems and compliance with tax and other payroll-related legislation

    Skills/Qualifications

    • Understanding of local legislation and statutory payments in Australia; the ability to learn the following countries: China, South Korea, Japan, India, Singapore
    • Administering Time & Attendance
    • Complete appropriate SOX reconciliations and maintain records for audit purposes
    • English language skills, written and spoken
    • Good Excel and Word skills (ability to produce pivot tables etc.)
    • Ability to work to tight deadlines and work within a team
    • Experience with ADP Celergo Payroll System is a plus
    • Payroll or strong HR or Finance

    NOTE: A medical will be required before commencement.
