    As a Project Administrator you'll provide major project administration assistance and help develop clever solutions to interesting problems as you grow your skills every day. And you'll do it with down-to-earth people who you're proud to work with and get to know. Here's how:

  • Deliver administration services to time and quality standards to meet the project teams specific needs, consistent with operating and quality systems.
  • Planning and coordination of activities for the Project team including but not limited to the organisation of events, issuing team communications, assisting in the smooth onboarding of new project team members, ensuring all team members are provisioned with correct equipment, system access and PPE.
  • Organise meetings as required by the project team, ensuring appropriate allocation of facilities, equipment, and catering, and coordinating with external parties if necessary.
  • Coordination of agendas and minutes for meetings, and monitor and maintain the action register, working collaboratively with the team to follow up actions.
  • You will provide project administration support to our project team, facilitating the achievement of key project milestones. In this role, your success will be driven by your ability to solve project delivery issues, prioritising safety, quality and efficiency, while maintaining accurate and organised project documentation.

    The community you will join

    Based in the Townsville Hub, reporting into the Manager Community and Stakeholders you will be part of the overall CopperString Delivery team, however, providing working as part of a smaller team dedicated to provide community and stakeholder support for CopperString.

    CopperString 2032 is the largest ever economic development project in North Queensland, and one of the largest expansions to the power grid in Australia. The Copperstring project will increase the transmission capacity to 500kV and build 840 kilometres of transmission line from just south of Townsville in the Burdekin region to Mount Isa. This project will further unlock the renewable energy potential of this region.

    Your expertise

  • Associate Diploma or similar qualification in Business Administration, Accounting, Project Management or Financial Administration, or a lesser qualification coupled with extensive Project Administration experience.
  • We'd also love you to have:

  • Significant experience in a project, accounts or administrative support role within a team environment, with a demonstrated ability to efficiently apply, and drive ongoing enhancement of processes, procedures and systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships, apply a customer service approach and exercise judgement, initiative and discretion in managing stakeholders to support the achievement of objectives.
  • Demonstrated high level ability to process, extrapolate, analyse and interpret data to deliver business reporting requirements. An ability to use systems or databases specific to the technical aspects of the team's activities, in administrative procedures including invoice payments and cost management (requisitions and service orders) utilising systems such as SAP.
  • Advanced proficiency in office software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
