    Food Services Supervisor - Westside Lodge Dual Diagnosis Rehabilitation Centre

    About the Role

    An exciting opportunity exists at Western Health Drug Health Services for a permanent part-time Food Services Supervisor.

    The Westside Lodge DDRC Food Services Supervisor is an integral part of our multidisciplinary team and will be responsible for menu planning, ordering and direct food preparation for and with the clients of our unit. The FSS must have a focus on healthy nutrition and the ability to educate and engage our client group as part of their recovery.

    About You

    As an experienced Food Services Supervisor you will:

    • Have relevant qualifications such as Chef training
    • Have a current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or be willing to work toward this
    • Have previous experience in menu planning, food preparation, budgeting, cooking and food safety requirements
    • Demonstrate the ability to effectively work alongside clients of the Westside Lodge DDRC who often have complex issues
    • Have a focus on good nutrition and be able to educate and engage the client group to focus on a healthy diet as part of their recovery

    Essential: Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate or willing to work towards this
    Essential: Previous experience in menu planning, food preparation, cooking and food safety requirements.
    Essential: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proven capacity to negotiate with clients, staff and other stakeholders
    Essential: Relevant qualifications such as Chef training (Certificate IV Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
    Essential: Demonstrated ability to prioritise and effectively manage workflow
    Essential: Demonstrated ability to effectively work alongside clients of the WSL DDRC who often have complex issues
    Essential: Demonstrated ability to work effectively and within a multi-disciplinary team
    Essential: Demonstrated sensitivity to the diverse needs of marginalised groups
    Essential: Current Driver's licence
    Essential: computer literacy skills
    Essential: Police check and Working with Children Check will be required to be completed for this position
    Desirable: Motivation to engage in further education to develop knowledge and expertise
    Desirable: Previous experience providing food services for complex clients
