    About the role Leading the organisation while working closely with the managing director and key staff.

    You will build a foundation for excellence, passionately engaging all stakeholders in strategic objectives while transitioning the business away from being overly reliant on the managing director (who agrees the time is right).

    Duties

    • Strategic leadership – working with the company directors, developing long and short term business plans
    • Operational and project excellence – oversee operations, collaborating cross functionally to ensure best practice outcomes are meet
    • Financial management - analyse overall financial performance in consultation with company directors and implement actions as needed
    • Team leadership and development – lead and mentor the team, fostering collaboration.
    Ensuring staff have defined responsibilities and expectations

    • Customer satisfaction – ensuring exceptional customer service by delivering superior, high quality solutions
    • Market analysis – conduct research to stay informed about industry trends
    • Regulatory compliance – WH&S and relevant industry regulations are adhered to Skills & experience Possessing a level of sophistication, whilst still being approachable and 'down to earth,' you can empower staff, engaging hearts and minds while taking them on the journey.

    • A stable track record of senior management within private business
    • Experience in specialised, technical and bespoke manufacturing
    • Project management – an understanding of how specialised or technical projects come together
    • An ability to read drawings – experience with 2 D and 3 D software
    • Hands on, approachable leadership – enhanced skills in empathy, influencing and stakeholder management that make you a great consultative leader
    • Experience managing profit & loss, reporting on progress to plan with a focus on continual improvement
    • Exposure to WH&S compliance Culture
