I am a passionate and creative Game Designer with over two years of experience in the games industry. I have a Bachelor of Game Development with Honours from SAE Institute Australia, where I graduated with the highest GPA for Games in 2022. My mission is to create immersive and engaging worlds, design challenging and rewarding puzzles, write captivating and meaningful stories, create expressive and dynamic music, and capture memorable and emotional moments. I am fascinated by the systems and mechanics that shape our reality and experiences, and I strive to share my vision and passion with others through games.

As an independent developer I have worked for a number of small startups and individuals in varying capacities, utilising my technical and design skills as the needs arose. I have participated in the production of TV commercials, designed application explainer videos and have managed the quality assurance on a number of small web applications. Among this I have designed software as a service, utilising no-code solutions to create web apps and have created virtual galleries and tours to be used for pitch decks and showcases.

Gameplay Programmer (Freelance/Contract)
BorgLabs - Brisbane, QLD

During my time at BorgLabs I was tasked with designing and developing gameplay mechanics for a roguelite platformer based in an Egyptian Crypt. Players would have to navigate sprawling dungeons in order to reach the centre of the crypt where their treasures awaited them. Players would have to traverse challenging environments while defending against hordes of enemies and crafting an array of weapons and armour to aid them in their quest. Each time the player reached their demise they would keep all of the crafting items, weapons and armour they collected, allowing them to venture deeper and deeper into the crypt

During my time at Ocean Floor Music I spearheaded the development of an underwater live music venue equipped with nft galleries, social hub spaces and music rooms for playing and recording live music. Our mission was to connect artists with their fans and allow them to interact with each other in a more personal way. Artists could design their own virtual spaces decorated with their own personal brand and style. Fans could visit these venues, granting them access to exclusive rewards and events hosted by each individual artist through our web3 portal app.

Game Producer/Developer (Internship)
INTR Studio - Bunbury, WA

My journey into professional game development started at INTR Studio as a Game Producer and Developer intern. I was initially tasked with the optimization of a VR racing game where the player was taken for a lap around the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst. Through lighting, asset and level design tweaks I was able to boost the performance in Pico 3 headsets with an increased FPS and minimal impact to visuals. Among this I was also tasked with the production of a 2D/AR mobile game built for shopping malls, where players were tasked with hunting butterflies using their phone cameras. Players were rewarded by the shopping malls, based on the number and type of butterflies they were able to catch in the given time.
