About Daiying Xie:
My nursing career spans over two decades, during which I have gained extensive experience in acute care settings, including general medical, and orthopaedic wards. At Maroondah Hospital, where I currently work as a Registered Nurse, I have honed my ability to assess patient needs, devise individualised care plans, and provide compassionate support to patients and their families. My experience has also strengthened my ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing environments, and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
Recently, I completed a Graduate Certificate of Diabetes Education at Deakin University, which has deepened my understanding of diabetes management and reinforced my passion for empowering patients to take control of their health. This program has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to develop tailored education plans, support patients in making informed decisions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal health outcomes.
What drives me most is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives, particularly those living with chronic conditions like diabetes. I am deeply committed to helping individuals understand their condition, adopt healthy lifestyle changes, and improve their quality of life. My goal is to become a credentialled diabetes educator, and I am eager to bring my clinical expertise, patient-centred approach, and enthusiasm for diabetes education.
