    Description

    The organisation
    Our client is a leading organisation from the Manufacturing industry. Located in Melbourne's northern suburb, they are currently seeking to hire a Manufacturing Accountant (permanent, full-time).

    The role
     The Manufacturing Accountant will be responsible for supporting operations team in identifying and driving cost efficiencies, as well as accuracy of financial reporting.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting of operational performance
    • Standard product costing/BOM cost monitoring
    • Analysis of production and variance reporting
    • Monitoring organisational KPIs
    • Inventory management, stocktakes and reporting
    • Supporting operations team on capital projects
    • Supporting month end process and reporting
    • Assisting with board papers preparation, annual audit, and preparation of tax returns
    • Supporting process improvement and systems upgrades initiatives

    Skills & Experience required

    • Relevant tertiary education (finance, commerce...), and CA/CPA qualification
    • Previous experience in a similar role, within the Manufacturing sector
    • Advanced Excel abilities, and strong financial modelling skills
    • Excellent communication, and stakeholder management skills
    • Good time management and ability to work towards deadlines
