    How can you make an impact?

    As the Head of Human Resources at Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB), you will establish strong relationships with business leaders to develop aligned people strategies. Reporting to the General Manager, HR WIB & Enterprise Functions, your focus will be on nurturing talent, designing the workforce, leading cultural shifts, and enhancing employee engagement. You will primarily engage with Managing Directors of Financial Markets, Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB), Global Transaction Services (GTS), WIB COO, and their leadership teams, collectively overseeing around 1700 employees.

Your pivotal role will involve overseeing the entire people agenda, encompassing strategy, workforce planning, talent management, capability building, remuneration, and HR transformation. Success in this position hinges on robust collaborations with the WIB and Enterprise Functions HR team, HR Shared Services, and CoE partners to deploy the right resources and skills when needed to address business priorities.

    As the Head of Human Resources at Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB), you will be responsible for crafting and implementing people strategies aligned with WIB's overall strategy in line with the Group's vision. You will champion the necessary cultural and behavioral changes within the organization, ensuring alignment with broader HR transformation efforts. Your role will center on driving the talent agenda for business success, delivering strategic HR solutions, cultivating leaders, and meeting succession requirements. A skilled influencer, you will collaborate with Financial Markets, Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB), Global Transaction Services (GTS), and WIB COO on their Line of Business (LOB) people strategies, partnering with the HR Business Partnering team for strategic and operational HR initiatives.

    What are the requirements?

    You should possess 15 years of HR Business Partnering experience, including substantial time in divisional HR leadership within an Agile/CoE framework. Crucial to excelling in this role is extensive experience in Financial Services, particularly in corporate and institutional banking, investment banking, or financial markets. You must have a proven track record in strategic collaboration with executive business leaders and functional heads at the highest organizational levels (GM/MD/C-Suite/Group Executive levels), backed by a strong business acumen and strategic mindset. Your ability to excel within an Agile/CoE-led HR and business structure, thriving in product-driven environments, will be pivotal. An exceptional communicator and adept relationship builder, you should feel at ease influencing and engaging in discussions with colleagues, peers, and senior stakeholders.
