About the company:

Our Federal Government Client is in search of an APS6 Project Officer. The role of the Project Officer involves providing comprehensive technical, professional, policy, and operational support and advice for complex issues. This position contributes to strategic planning, program management, and project coordination.

About the role:

Development and management of project plans and schedules following the Agency's project management framework.
Provision of specialized advice and technical expertise to team members and stakeholders.
Conducting independent research and analysis, including the preparation of reports on project activities.
Coordination of regular project reporting with status updates and exception reports.
Creation of written materials such as business cases, executive briefs, and corporate documents.
Monitoring project budgets, reviewing expenditure, and aiding in procurement and contract management.
Identification and management of project risks, issues, and benefits.

Desirable skills:

Researching and uncovering insights to enhance the Agency's knowledge base.
Documenting the current state of services through design and research to improve participant and staff experiences and business processes.
Collaborating in process design enhancements and facilitating sessions.
Advocating for participants' and stakeholders' input in work processes.
Leading design-thinking sessions with service users to innovate and test future service processes.
Applying in-depth understanding of the agency's functions and impacts on work areas.
Ensuring end-to-end service experiences align with the Digital Service Standard.
Evaluating proposed solutions conceptually and tactically.
Assisting management with system tools and additional tasks as needed.

Benefits

Immediate start subject to Federal Police Clearance.
Temporary 12-month assignment.
Full-time hours from Monday to Friday.
Location: Adelaide, SA.
APS5 - Hourly rate of $60.26 plus superannuation.
