    Or client is a significant Australian producer and is one of Australia's largest companies in its space. Supplying produce domestically and internationally to supermarkets, health food stores, other food manufacturers, retailers and traders. With core capabilities across Horticulture, Orchard Management, Processing, Sales and Marketing, and state-of-the-art processing facilities they have the capability of meeting increasing demands.

    As one of Australia's largest exporters in their space they continue to build strong relationships in the fast growing markets of India and China, as well as maintaining established routes to markets in Asia, Europe and the Middle East with over 600 customers globally.

    The Role
    Reporting to the GM of Sales, the International Business Development Manager (BDM) will lead the development and execution of the export sales strategy, driving the international business channel with a focus on establishing a robust footprint through a precisely articulated export strategy. Specific geographic needs will be addressed with the right product blend, price point and distributor and manufacturer partnerships to increase sales across the international market.

    The role will be based in the Richmond Head office and will involve bi-monthly international travel.

    Other responsibilities will include:

    • Establishing critical relationships with new and existing International accounts at local, regional, and corporate levels.
    • Coordinating interactions with in-country distributors, and customers to optimise forecast accuracy and minimize working capital implications.
    • Identifying and leading new business opportunities through in-country distribution within targeted geographies.
    • Reviewing and presenting in-country sales proposals, aligning with quarterly and annual business plans.
    • Ensuring international activities comply with regional and local statutory obligations, as well as relevant governance standards and codes of ethics.
    Skills & Experience
    The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in international markets, new market expansion, business development and product commercialisation. The position requires strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to align business plans with the company's growth strategy.
    The successful candidate will have demonstrated:
    • Experience in driving commercial performance and growth strategies for a large FMCG organisation across multiple geographies.
    • Proven success in leading FMCG sales and business development in international markets.
    • Strong knowledge and relationships with key distributors and manufacturers in the broader SEA region.
    • Effective management of cross-border supply chains.
    • High levels of personal drive, initiative, and leadership.
    • Exceptional relationship management and commercial acumen.
