This role centers around conducting mechanical repairs, including routine maintenance tasks, on both mobile and stationary equipment. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders is crucial for ensuring site safety, quality control, environmental compliance, and risk management.
Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Supervisor, the Mechanic will be responsible for handling mechanical (and occasional electrical) tasks on equipment in workshop and field settings to keep our fleet safe and operational for project needs. The position may involve travel within the Newcastle and Sydney regions, as well as other areas in regional NSW, to perform scheduled maintenance, essential repairs, and mechanical support for major construction projects. This is primarily a Monday to Friday role from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with potential for overtime, shifts, and occasional weekend work.
