Your new role

Centurion Transport in Adelaide, Cavan, is currently seeking experienced forklift operators to join our operations departments full-time as a Freight Officer. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling and receipting of freight, using your skills to manage goods with precision and care, responsible for loading, unloading and restraining freight in the Depot. Tasks & Responsibilities

Operating a forklift to load and unload freight in a safe and timely manner

Processing various types of freight from beginning to end

Secure and restrain all loads in a safe manner as per the load restraint guide

Ensuring all scanning is accurate and complete for freight in the received, loaded, staged and unloaded functions

Preparation of outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch

Guaranteeing freight is loaded in time to meet scheduled vehicle departure times

Requirements of the role

Current Forklift Licence (LF)

Preferred experience with general freight or warehousing

Ability to take direction from management and supervisors

Preferred scanning or computer data entry experience

Customer service and communication skills

Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, and RIPPA values
