    Description

    About the Company:
    Privately owned WA business who has been around for more than 30 years delivering projects across the private, public, and mining sectors. They have an excellent reputation with their clients, offering services such as earthworks, underground services, culvert installation, pipeline & tunnel construction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide updates to the Management team regarding tender preparation and submissions
    • Define project scope and establish precise terms and conditions
    • Organize and manage subcontractors and suppliers necessary for tender submissions
    • Solicit quotations for required materials and services
    • Conduct precise material assessments
    • Demonstrate strong prioritization, time management, and problem-solving skills
    • Accurately estimate labour hours, mobilization and demobilization expenses, and equipment needed for project execution
    • Aid in construction scheduling and planning as needed
    • Compile material assessments and project costs into organized spreadsheets or databases
    • Participate in tender reviews with senior management and adjust cost estimates accordingly

    Experience Required:

    • Previous experience as an Estimator within the civil construction industry
    • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, QS or similar is preferred but not essential.
    • Experience using Expert Estimator is highly desired
    • Experience in reading and interpreting drawings and plans
    • Well-developed communication skills
    • Strong commercial acumen
