- Evidence of research excellence through publications.

The School of Engineering are currently at the forefront of an industry-funded initiative, revolutionising the future of electric vehicle batteries. Our mission is to transform the landscape of battery reuse and recycling, reducing environmental footprints, enhancing safety measures, and unlocking new market potentials.
To help us achieve this vision, we are seeking a Senior Research Engineer in Battery Technologies – someone with a strong chemical engineering background, coupled with extensive research and development experience. Ideal candidates will possess deep insights into battery cell design, electrochemistry, safety protocols, health assessments of end-of-life batteries, and performance optimisation of retired EV batteries. Join our pioneering team as we lead the way in repurposing, and recycling of lithium-ion battery, harnessing innovative technologies to transform used batteries into valuable resources, driving sustainability, and shaping the future of energy.

This full time, fixed term position attracts remuneration of $97,113 to $108,813 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
